Hanqing Bilingual Pathway
The Hanqing Bilingual Pathway (HQP) is designed for students who aim to achieve native or near-native fluency in Chinese while also developing English to an international standard.
Centring on a schedule in which approximately 50% of instruction, including Mathematics, is delivered in Chinese and 50% in English. This dual-language approach is supported by a team of experienced bilingual teachers. In addition, specialist subjects such as Aquatics, Physical Education, and Music help students strengthen and apply their English language skills in practical, creative contexts.
Movement between learning pathways is carefully considered at the end of each Key Stage. Parents wishing to request a transfer should submit a written expression of interest before the end of the second term of the preceding academic year.
Founded upon the British and Chinese National Curriculum, six guiding principles underpin the Early Years and Primary provision.
