The House System
The House system is a long-standing tradition of British education, and at Shrewsbury School Hong Kong it plays a central role in shaping student life. Designed to strengthen relationships across age groups, the system creates a supportive community where older and younger students learn from, and encourage, one another.
From the beginning of Year 1, every student joins one of six Houses. This provides them with an immediate sense of belonging and a smaller community within the wider school. Over time, students develop lasting friendships and strong bonds with peers across different year groups, guided by a shared House identity and spirit.
