Service Programme
The Service programme at Shrewsbury supports the delivery of our Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning framework, with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnership) identified as a common central focus. It is designed to challenge, engage, affect and inspire our young students and offered in collaboration with four locally-based charitable partners.
Identified themes of study connect us directly to the work of a regionally based charity able to guide engagement and endeavour through five phases of exploration.
- The Challenge
Identification of the central theme - Our Partner
Identification of an associated charity working to address the challenge posed - First Action
A physical donation of time and effort defined by the charity themselves - Reflection
A phase of contemplation - Student Led Action
A donation project initiated by students for their assigned partner
Any funds raised through the undertaking of partnerships or elsewhere are split evenly through donations to partner charities Box of Hope, HandsOn Hong Kong, ImpactHK and Plastic Free Seas.
