Student Leadership
Shrewsbury students are encouraged to take responsibility and drive change as members of the wider school community. The annual appointment of two key bodies provides a formal avenue for contribution.
With terms of reference established, the Student Council acts to ensure that the views of Shrewsbury students are used to drive and support school improvement, while a team of Global Goal Ambassadors supports the successful planning and delivery of key events connected to the Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning framework. Both groups benefit from the close attention of the Student Voice Committee, a group established to ensure that Shrewsbury students have a clear and influential voice throughout the school.
Student Council
The Student Council has been established to ensure that the views of Shrewsbury students are used to drive and support school improvement. Members are required to act both proactively and responsively to steer and support the agenda for change.
The Student Council contains representative members from each Primary class, determined through an adult-screened election process.
Global Goal Ambassadors
A team of Global Goal Ambassadors has been established to support the successful planning and delivery of key events connected to the Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning framework. Members are required to act as representatives for all efforts pertaining to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Global Goal Ambassadors are appointed on merit following the submission of a letter or speech declaring an interest in and commitment to Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning. Whilst membership is open to all Primary students, the total volume of Global Goal Ambassadors cannot exceed the total number of Primary classes.
