Meeting with the Principal
It is hard to believe that we are already in Term 3 and approaching the end of the academic year. This has been a wonderful first year for me at Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong and I feel both grateful and humbled by the dedication of our staff and the warmth and support I have received from you as parents.
I am writing to invite you to a face-to-face meeting so that we can spend some time together and get to know each other better. It is very important for me to hear your views and perspectives as I shape the direction of our school for August 2026 and beyond.

Time: 06:00 pm – 07:00 pm
Venue: Recital hall
This will be an opportunity for me to share my journey so far as Principal and the developments that have taken place across the school. In particular, I look forward to sharing more about the new HQP bilingual initiative and the planned expansion of our provision to include Year 7 from August 2026 and Year 8 the following year. I will share with you the through train nature of our school and other secondary school options you may wish to consider.
Shrewsbury is a community built on strong relationships between students, parents and staff, and I recognise that decisions about your childâs education are both significant and deeply personal. Choosing a school and deciding to remain with a school is an important decision for every family. I would like to explain why Shrewsbury is such a strong and secure place for your child to continue their learning journey and how we will continue to nurture their academic progress, personal development and wellbeing as they move through our school.
The session will also include time for open discussion. I warmly welcome your questions, reflections and feedback. Your perspectives are invaluable as we work to ensure that Shrewsbury remains the school of choice for your family.
