Principal Induction

With news that Priya Kanthan has been appointed into the role of Principal at Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong for August 2025, a programme for her induction is already well underway.

With a regular schedule of meetings with current and Founding Principal, Ben Keeling, in the calendar, a first round of discussion has centred around the pragmatic arrangement of the school week and the roles currently undertaken by various leadership teams. Policy development, strategic planning and recruitment are next on the agenda.

‘Having held the role for over 8 years, there is a lot of information and a considerable amount of history to pass on. Change brings opportunity however, and I am greatly excited to see Priya at the helm for the launch of the Hanqing Bilingual Pathway and the many other successes I know lie on the horizon.’

Scheduled on campus for a succession of meetings in May and with plans to host an introductory event with parents in June, Priya is keen to hit the ground running.

‘I am thrilled and excited to have been appointed to lead Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong and look forward to engaging with students, parents and staff at the earliest possible opportunity.’
