Graduation: The Class of 2022
The Class of 2022 celebrated their graduation on campus with parents during the evening of 28th June.
Marking a pivotal moment in their Shrewsbury journey, the ceremony provided an opportunity to reflect and look forward with an exceptional group, buoyed by high expectations for the future.
“Marked profoundly by extended periods of suspension, the last twelve months have provided a stern test of your commitment: to learning, to relationship building, to the maintenance of high standards. I know that it hasn’t always been easy, but you have risen to every challenge. You have shown that education is about people, not places, and that with the right attitude you can learn anywhere. This is the beginning. We look forward to hearing more from you in the weeks, months and years to come - you will forever remain Shrewsbury students and now Salopians.”Ben Keeling, Principal
Musical performances interspersed a series of individual presentations, while student reflection provided a moment for acknowledgement and thanks.
“Warmest congratulations to our young graduates - and thanks to parents and colleagues, for their unfailing support. These wonderful young people have demonstrated immense determination and enthusiasm and deserve every adulation. I look forward to hearing of their future successes and achievements.”
Alex Sadler, Year 6 Teacher and Phase Leader
Successful placement for Year 7 was guided by School Partnership Coordinator, Ms Chelly Tsang - destination schools speak directly to a bespoke consultation service that prides itself upon a commitment to individualisation.
“It is a privilege to witness our fourth graduating cohort move on to yet another broad collection of outstanding institutions following their outstanding education here at Shrewsbury.”
