Staff Induction
Prior to the opening of a new academic year on Monday 19th August, Shrewsbury staff returned to campus following a nourishing summer break for a phase of orientation and induction this week.
Opening with a keynote presentation from Principal, Ben Keeling, early engagements centered upon our unique context, the wealth of resources available, the academic capacity of students and the engagement of the parent population.
“Our students are exceptionally capable. Use their strengths to overcome their barriers and be sure to harness the parent body. Those of you able to make the greatest impact this year will reflect appreciatively upon the influence of the team that surrounds the children we are fortunate enough to work alongside.”

The staffroom abuzz with stories of travel and adventure, those newest to the team were keen to share their gratitude for the arrangements made and the support available.
“My journey into Hong Kong has been incredibly well orchestrated. Sessions have been considerately scheduled and led with great care. I feel excited and inspired, and can’t wait to meet my students on Saturday.”
Megan Tracey, Year 1 Teacher
Children and families will return to campus for a morning of orientation on Saturday 17th August, before the start of the new school year next week.
“Our successes have been built upon an unerring attention to detail, an enthusiasm for well informed change, the conscious implementation of a high-autonomy, high responsibility work culture and a close knit collegiality, built on mutual respect and active participation. Know that my expectation of you is a sign of my faith in you.”
