A Shrewsbury Story: The Liang Family

Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a new family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of the Liang Family - this is their story:

Keen to learn more about our incredible community, we speak to a new family every month to find out about their journey, their aspiration and their hopes for the future. This month is the turn of the Liang Family - this is their story:

“We joined the Shrewsbury community in 2019 following relocation from Bangkok when our eldest daughter enrolled into a Reception class - her sister followed a year later. Already familiar with the heritage and reputation for balanced whole child development, our early connection with the incredible staff team confirmed in our minds that this would be the right option for us.”

“The last twelve months have been challenging for all families, worldwide. We have coped well, largely thanks to the support available to us at school. When unable to spend time on campus, we have found the online resources incredibly helpful. The open communication, clear framework for learning and sequenced small group sessions have been particular highlights, but we are also particularly thankful to have been able to draw upon regular personal interaction with our teachers. Both girls have been engaged and motivated throughout - they have kept up well and are proud of everything they have achieved.”

“While we haven’t been able to socialise as much as we would ordinarily plan to, we still very much enjoy life in Hong Kong. We have spent a lot of time on the waterfront. When we’re not scooting or running, you’ll most likely find us in one of the many restaurants there enjoying a tasty meal.”
