House-Champions-Shrewsbury

Bauhinia House have been crowned champions for the 2019/20 Academic Year and can celebrate the end of term as the very first recipients of the House Cup.

"House competition has proven a real hit at Shrewsbury this year," remarked Principal, Mr Ben Keeling. "Bauhinia House are deserving winners and the House Cup will look splendid in blue!"

Named after a genus of more than 500 species of flowering plant in the Cercidoideae family, Bauhinia House had previously been named after founding graduate Mr Ethan Chau. All houses were renamed earlier this year following close consultation with students. House team names are now connected to the names of flowering plants indigenous to Hong Kong.

Houses act to group students vertically, by association, rather than horizontally, by age. They support the development of a wider social network and inspire a sense of healthy competition!
