School Partnership Coordinator, Ms Chelly Tsang, was thrilled to be able to introduce families of students in Key Stage 2 to Mr Leo Winkley, Headmaster at Shrewsbury School, and Mr Rob Fox, Headmaster at Packwood Haugh as part of a digital conference on the subject of school selection last week.

Packwood Haugh is a Shropshire based Prep School for children between the ages of 4 and 12 with an international reputation for excellence. It joined the Shrewsbury family in 2019.

"The evening was an incredible success - I am deeply grateful that Mr Winkley and Mr Fox were able to support an enlightening information session that illustrated the benefits of our shared connection so neatly. Many of our families are going to be enormously attracted to a journey onto Shrewsbury via Packwood thanks to the incredible diligence of a staff team so evidently committed to student wellbeing.” Mr Ben Keeling, Principal

"The journey for Shrewsbury students in Hong Kong onto Packwood is one underwritten by the strong and shared connection we share - it can be considered a path of natural progression.” Mr Rob Fox, Headmaster at Packwood Haugh

"Shrewsbury School has an incredibly strong connection with the community in Hong Kong. Our relationship continues to bloom as we look to support the journey of pupils for whom a boarding education is attractive.” Mr Leo Winkley, Headmaster at Shrewsbury School

Parents were particularly impressed by the opportunity to meet and engage with a small group of Packwood students. Vanessa, Teddy and Amelia each took questions from attending parents live. They spoke effusively about their experiences.

"The introduction to boarding school life was enormously useful - and it was through the eyes of three students that I was really able to understand the quality of care on offer.” Year 3 Parent
