Principal Blog – November 2025
Dear Parents and Friends,
As we wrap up another eventful month, I’m proud of all the amazing things that have taken place on our campus to showcase our core values and community strength. These experiences highlight that learning goes beyond the learning that happens inside the classroom.
Our Year 5 and 6 students kicked off the month with a thrilling Mixed Swimming Meet against Nord Anglia International School, demonstrating athletic skill, teamwork, and perseverance. Seeing our students support one another reminded us that success is about winning but more importantly it is about working together with integrity and respect.
Another highlight was the Board of Governors’ Visit, where student leaders shared their experiences and ideas with our esteemed visitors. Their confidence and passion reflected our commitment to empowering students to become self-directed learners and take ownership of their education.
We also hosted the FOBISIA Job alike Maths Conference, bringing together professionals from around the region to share ideas about enhancing problem-solving skills in young learners. Their enthusiasm for learning was inspiring, and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in organizing such a meaningful event at our school.
We launched Anti-Bullying Week with an Odd Sock Day! The staff and students came to school wearing all sorts of colourful and mismatched socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique and to remind everyone that it’s okay to be different.
Lastly, our talented Year 6 students dazzled us with their wonderful pantomime performance. Filled with laughter and creativity, it highlighted their hard work, teamwork, and imagination—skills that will benefit them for years to come.
This month has emphasized that true education comes from the connections we foster and the character we build. Whether in the swimming pool, on stage, in discussions, or through acts of kindness, our students shine as thoughtful and engaged learners. They are the Shrewsbury Sparkle!
To end, I would like to Thank our teachers, parents, and students for making Shrewsbury such a special place where we all learn and grow. I look forward to the achievements and adventures awaiting us next month!
