Following a weekend orientation, a first school week at Shrewsbury saw the hosting of several key events centring upon a commitment to a fast-growing community.

Prior to the opening of a new academic year on Monday 19th August, Shrewsbury staff returned to campus following a nourishing summer break for a phase of orientation and induction this week.

The Annual General Meeting of the Shrewsbury Parents Association (SPA) took place in June, drawing record attendance. Chair and host, Andy Baker, opened proceedings with a review of activity undertaken over the course of an extraordinarily productive year.

New and existing Achievement Scholars gathered for afternoon tea one day prior to the conclusion of another academic year to mark the passing of responsibility between one team and the next. Having been appointed in the summer of 2023 and soon to journey onto boarding schools in the UK for places in Year 7, Alex and Cathy were keen to offer words of advice and reassurance.

The graduation of Year 6 students took place on Wednesday the 26th June. Marking the conclusion of a deeply enriching relationship, students, parents and teachers gathered for a series of musical performances and personal reflections before the undertaking of a formal awards ceremony.

Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong is delighted to announce the opening of a Chinese and English bilingual programme for Early Years students from January 2025.

Incoming Packwood (Shrewsbury Prep) Headmaster, William Goldsmith, took time from a family break to engage with the parents of students in Hong Kong to share his thoughts on the many benefits available to families who opt in to boarding school at a traditional setting in the UK.

With parental recommendation the main driver of interest in Shrewsbury, Board Chair, Bernard Chan, was keen to acknowledge the support of a particularly productive group over dinner at the Hong Kong Club last week.
