Refugee Pledge
At the dawn of the Global Refugee Forum, Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong was delighted to share news of its commitment to a pledge with the UNHCR to appropriately educate students on the challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers around the world.
The Global Refugee Forum is held every four years and provides the opportunity for the reviewal of the challenges and opportunities ahead and the sharing of best practice.
Earlier this year, Shrewsbury launched a new service programme designed to challenge, engage, affect and inspire. Engagements with charitable partners Box of Hope and Hands on Hong Kong precede interactions with Plastic Free Seas and ImpactHK later in the year.
"It is critical that we talk to children directly and honestly about the many complex challenges we face in the present if they are to be involved in the solutions of the future."
